01
Brief
Architects, planners,
engineers, designers.
Architecture & Planning International (API) is an Egyptian consultancy working across master planning, architecture, engineering and interior design, with offices in Cairo and Alexandria and projects in Egypt, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. KHP was asked to build the portfolio the firm puts in front of developers and government clients.
02
The Challenge
A strong record
with no frame around it.
API's work spans towers, mixed-use districts and housing compounds across three countries, but it lived in scattered renders and drawings. A developer reviewing consultants had no single document that showed the range of the work, the scope API held on each project, or the thinking behind it.
The portfolio also had to carry a practice with four disciplines without reading like four companies, and stay clear enough that the architecture, not the layout, does the talking.
03
Our Approach
Design beyond spaces,
set out page by page.
Step 01 - Positioning & Copy
We wrote the firm's story first: the mission, the vision of an innovative, sustainable built environment, and the line that sums up the practice, Design Beyond Spaces.
Step 02 - Portfolio System
We set a calm blue and white layout with angled photo frames that echo the geometry of API's buildings. Every project follows one template, giving its location, client, date, area and scope beside a hero render and a grid of views.
Step 03 - Projects & Services
The portfolio walks through the four services (master planning, architecture, engineering and interior design) and the featured work, from Pixel Tower in the New Administrative Capital to Wahet Al Zawya in Al Ain and Al Ummra in Al Madinah, and closes on the Cairo and Alexandria offices.
04
The Result
From scattered renders
to one confident portfolio.
API International now opens every pitch with a portfolio that reads at the standard of its buildings. One clean blue and white system carries the mission, the four services and a project record running from Egypt's New Administrative Capital to Al Ain and Al Madinah, each project set out with its location, client, area and scope so a developer can judge the firm in a single read.
